Welcome to the Mackinac Island Yacht Club web site. The Yacht Club, founded in 1937, currently includes 300 members, many of whom are residents of Mackinac Island, Michigan. The clubhouse sits directly across from the Michigan State Waterways marina in the Mackinac Island harbor.
The clubhouse is
open from about mid-May until mid-October. It offers members
use of comfortable living quarters, a scenic porch and serves
to
members and their guests. The house contains seven second and
third floor rooms that are available
for overnight accommodations for members and their guests.
This web site provides information about the
club and its activities. Members may check out the latest schedule
of events and race information.

RECORD BREAKING WINNER
On Wednesday July 21st, the Annual Race Around the Island took place sponsored by the Mackinac Island Yacht Club and Douds Market. Matt Myers 18' Hobie Cat "Bob Sled" posted a record setting time of 55 minutes around the Island beating the existing record held by Dick Coates on Dictator, with his time of 57 minutes posted over 10 years ago. First Mate Jack Barnwell sailed with Matt.
